Xantaro partners with Freedom Fibre to speed up Shropshire fibre rollout at a staging facility before field deployment. The proof-of-concept approach ensures all Nokia kit, known for its futureproof capabilities, is fully tested and configured for seamless installation, minimising disruption on-site.
The partnership is crucial for Freedom Fibre’ s involvement in the Project Gigabit initiative, under which it holds a contract to provide connectivity to underserved communities in Shropshire.
Paul Alexander, Vice President and Country General Manager UK & I at Nokia, said:“ We are pleased to help Freedom Fibre connect more people to high-quality internet services using our interconnect routers, high-capacity fiber access nodes and suite of network management and automation tools.”
The agreement sees Xantaro providing its‘ Cabinet-as-a-Service’ street cabinet solution, alongside fixed and IP services from Nokia.
Central to this initiative is Xantaro’ s‘ Golden Cab’ concept. This involves rigorously testing street cabinets and Nokia equipment
Beyond the physical cabinet services, Xantaro’ s professional services team is also providing the High Level Design( HLD) and Low Level Design( LLD) for the active network. This includes configuring network elements and overseeing the installation and commissioning of the Nokia Altiplano management platform.

VodafoneThree announces exclusive multi-year partnership with Currys
VodafoneThree and Currys have announced a new multi-year agreement, marking a major distribution deal just weeks after the merger of Vodafone UK and Three UK. Building on many successful years of collaboration, VodafoneThree will be the exclusive mobile network operator( MNO) for Currys.
Following the success of the partnership’ s mobile offering, this agreement will extend the reach of home broadband services to include mobile broadband( Fixed Wireless Access). VodafoneThree has the biggest full fibre footprint with 22.5m premises passed with fibre or fibre-like speeds, more than anyone else in the UK. Its broadband services operate under the Vodafone brand.*
Customers will, in time, benefit from VodafoneThree’ s £ 11 billion investment to build the UK’ s best network, with improved coverage, speed and reliability reaching 99.95 % of the UK population by 2034.
