Trina Solar provides 190MW of its solution to solar park in Spain EDP Renováveis opens new wind farm in Galicia, Spain E DP Renováveis has opened a new wind farm in Galicia, Northern Spain, increasing the company’s installed capacity within the region, to 281MW. Muxia wind farm comprises 34 wind turbines with 2MW each, which makes for a total of 68MW of installed power capacity – enough to supply around 70,000 homes per year. The opening of the wind farm was attended by the President of the Autonomous Community of Galicia, Alberto, Núñez Feijóo; the Mayor of Muxia, Félix Porto; the CEO of EDP Renováveis, João Manso Neto; and the Chief Executive of EDP Renováveis España, Rocío Sicre. With this new investment, EDP Renováveis’ installed capacity in Galicia now accounts for more than 10% of the company’s operation in Spain. The company’s overall installed capacity in the country amounts to 2312MW. / T rina Solar Limited (‘Trina Solar’ or the ‘company’), a leading total solutions provider for solar energy, has announced that it will provide 190 megawatts of its integrated photovoltaic (PV) solution, TrinaPro, to Cobra for a large solar park in Spain. ACS Group and its subsidiary Cobra, specialising in turnkey energetic infrastructures, are building this EPC project in Alcazar, Ciudad Real province (Spain), with a total power capacity of 190MW. The project is expected to be completed by the end of 2019 and is set to become the first of many TrinaPro projects in Europe. Trina Solar will supply its integrated TrinaPro PV solution consisting of 560,000 units of TSM-PE14H multicrystalline half-cut cell modules, as well as the corresponding 6,206 single- axis tracker units. The high-efficiency modules will be mounted on Trina Solar’s www.intelligentcio.com single-axis tracking system, which allows the modules to follow the sun at optimum angles, thus receiving maximum sunlight and generating up to a 25% additional power in stable conditions. Once in full operation, Muxia wind farm will allow the company to inject clean energy into the grid, which will prevent the emission of over 4 million tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere over the 30-year concession period. TrinaPro is the first PV solution with an optimised combination of Trina Solar’s industry leading solar modules and state-of-the-art solar tracker systems. As a value-added solution, TrinaPro is optimally engineered with premium components and system integration. It is one of the most reliable solutions in the solar industry for high-energy yields. De la Vina added: “By harnessing the power of data and optimising the design of the entire system, we further increase overall efficiency. TrinaPro can boost system power output by up to 30%. We are proud that Trina Solar has evolved from a module supplier to a value-added solutions provider, bringing greater value to our customers.” INTELLIGENTCIO 11
