A
n IDG Connect survey of 300 senior
decision makers across Sweden and
Norway has revealed DigiPlex as the most
recognised brand in one of the world’s most
active and attractive markets for data centre
investment and development.
The survey, which gathered the opinions of
a range of CEOs, CFOs and CIOs, revealed
the company as the best-recognised data
centre brand in both countries in the past
two years, rising by 44% to take the top
position in Sweden. This result is attributed
to an ambitious international marketing
strategy and DigiPlex’s clear dedication
to data centre solutions, innovation and
sustainability which are aligned with the
evolving needs of global businesses.
“The incredible pace of digitisation and the
accompanying rise in international demand
for better, faster and greener data solutions
has significantly changed the measures
of success for data centres,” said DigiPlex
CEO, Gisle M. Eckhoff. “Our strategy as a
dedicated provider has been seen to be
the first name in data centres in the most
attractive and active market for development
in the world. We are pleased to see our
efforts recognised at C-level.”
Customer inflow through innovation
and increased visibility
In just the past year, DigiPlex has secured
several major new customers including
Amazon Web Services; City Network; Verisec;
Telia; and NexGen Networks. During this
period, the company has also expanded two
of its data centres in Oslo and entered the
Danish market through the acquisition of a
Telia data centre in central Copenhagen. Its
investments in innovation, environmental
sustainability and a more focused approach
to marketing have garnered in a number
of awards including as ‘Best Data Centre
Energy Solution’ and ‘Data Center

N
ordea expands its digital payment
offering by adding Google Pay, a
mobile payment solution for Android
phones. Nordea customers in all Nordic
countries can now use Google Pay at
contactless payment terminals and in
apps and online stores.
“We want to make everyday life easier
for our customers. Mobile payment is a
very convenient way to make everyday
purchases without carrying your wallet with
you, at all times. Mobile payment is easy,
accessible and secure – and that’s what
our customers want,” said Topi Manner,
Head of Personal Banking at Nordea.
The launch of Google Pay follows the
launches of several digital payment
solutions in recent times. Customers that
use Android devices can now also enjoy
making mobile payments that are fast,
easy and secure.
“For Nordea, it’s all about giving
customers access to the same modern
and secure ways of making payments
regardless of the device they choose to
use,” said Manner.
All Nordea’s consumer cards and Nordea
First Card can be added to Google Pay.
“As the front runner of the Digital
Transformation of banking, it’s important
to offer a complete range of digital
payment solutions to all customers. No
other Nordic bank can match our broad
range of digital payment solutions on all
Nordic markets,” said Erik Zingmark, Head
of Transaction Banking at Nordea.
Google Pay also brings great benefits for
corporations since corporate cards can be
added. Regardless if employees use plastic
cards or Google Pay, all purchases end up
on the same invoice.
It therefore creates less administration
and makes life easier for employees when
travelling or making expenses on behalf of
the company.
