CGI completes acquisition of Comarch Polska SA to accelerate public sector growth in Poland
CGI Inc. has completed the acquisition of Comarch Polska
SA through its wholly owned subsidiary, CGI Information Systems and Management Consultants( Polska) sp. z o. o., strengthening its position in Poland and the Baltic States.
The transaction brings more than 460 IT and business consulting professionals to CGI, increasing its regional workforce to approximately 1,500 consultants.
As part of the acquisition, CGI will expand its footprint across several major cities in Poland, reinforcing its long-term growth strategy in Central and Eastern Europe.

“ This acquisition enhances our public sector expertise and allows us to transfer proven capabilities from across Europe to the Polish market.”
Bartłomiej Nieścierowicz, Senior Vice-President and Business Unit Leader for CGI in Poland and the Baltics, highlighted the combination of Comarch’ s strong local expertise with CGI’ s technology-agnostic portfolio. This integration expands the range of proven digital solutions available to Polish public sector organisations – supported by CGI’ s track record of delivering 95 % of projects on time and within budget.
Comarch Polska has delivered software and IT services for public administration since 1993 with offerings spanning ERP, digital document management, consulting and managed services. Its leadership noted that joining CGI will accelerate the deployment of globally proven solutions tailored to Poland’ s public sector needs.
EXA Infrastructure completes acquisition of Aqua Comms
EXA Infrastructure has announced the completion of its acquisition of Aqua Comms, strengthening its transatlantic and intra-European connectivity network.
EXA Infrastructure, a London-based portfolio company of I Squared Capital – a leading independent global infrastructure investor – already operates more than 160,000 km of digital infrastructure across 37 countries, including seven transatlantic routes and 22 cable landing stations across North America and Europe.
Aqua Comms is an Ireland-based service provider specialising in the operation of submarine cable systems and the supply of fibre pairs, spectrum and wholesale network capacity to global content, cloud, carrier and enterprise markets. It is the owner and operator of America Europe Connect-1( AEC-1), America Europe Connect-2( AEC-2), CeltixConnect-1( CC-1) and CeltixConnect-2( CC-2) and is part of a consortium that owns and operates the Amitié cable system( AEC-3).
The addition of Aqua Comms’ network delivers greater route diversity and strengthens critical links between the US, Ireland and mainland Europe. Its deep operational expertise, combined with a significantly expanded infrastructure footprint, positions EXA Infrastructure to meet the growing AI, cloud and content demands of its customers.
