TelCables Europe partners with euNetworks to expand pan-European connectivity

Through this partnership, TelCables’ customers will gain access to euNetworks’ 45,000 km high-capacity backbone and 18 metropolitan fibre networks connecting 582 + data centres and 230 + cloud onramps. The alliance will enhance connectivity across key European bandwidth hubs, particularly within the high-demand FLAP-D markets – Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam, Paris and Dublin.
“ This collaboration with TelCables Europe opens new digital gateways to customers seeking to expand in a market facing accelerating demand for scalable, AI-ready connectivity,” said Marisa Trisolino, CEO, euNetworks.
“ It also allows us to extend our value proposition to leading and strategic African players.”

TelCables Europe, a subsidiary of Angola Cables, has announced a strategic partnership with euNetworks Fiber UK Limited to extend high-capacity, low-latency connectivity across Europe.

Samuel Carvalho, CEO, TelCables Europe, said:“ Our partnership strengthens Lisbon’ s role as a true Atlantic bridge – linking Central Europe to the Americas and Africa through a seamless, high-capacity ecosystem. Together, we’ re enabling enterprises and service providers to reach new markets and accelerate digital transformation across both established and emerging regions.”
The collaboration links TelCables’ 33,000 km subsea network and 50,000 km partner system with euNetworks’ extensive intercity and cross-border fibre infrastructure spanning 17 European countries.
The agreement is said to underscore both companies’ commitment to expanding global digital infrastructure and supporting the growing demand for high-performance international connectivity.

Wind River chosen by Vodafone for Open RAN expansion across Europe

Wind River has been selected by Vodafone to provide the containers-as-a-service( CaaS) layer for its Open RAN deployments across Germany and other European markets. The partnership marks a major milestone in Vodafone’ s efforts to expand its Open RAN footprint and modernize its mobile network architecture.

Under the agreement, Vodafone will use the Wind River Cloud Platform to power thousands of network sites across Europe. The cloud-native platform delivers scalable, distributed infrastructure designed to run next-generation networks efficiently while reducing operational complexity and energy consumption.
“ Vodafone continues to advance and collaborate with the industry in realizing the promise of Open RAN. We’ re proud to extend our partnership to enable the next wave of large-scale deployments,” said Paul Miller, Chief Technology, Wind River.
Pitched as providing a proven alternative to traditional RAN, Open RAN’ s cloud-based environment allows service providers to transform business models leading to a potential reduction in OpEx, improved energy efficiencies, new use cases, and enhanced customer experience.
For Vodafone, adopting a cloud-based CaaS layer from Wind River is a key step toward building a more open, sustainable, and futureready network.
The collaboration highlights Wind River’ s growing role as a technology partner to global telecom providers pursuing digital transformation.
As operators accelerate the rollout of 5G and prepare for next-generation services, cloud-native solutions like Wind River Cloud Platform are becoming central to achieving agility, efficiency and scalability.
