Amdocs , a leading provider of software and services to communications and media companies , has announced that it has been selected by Crnogorski Telekom , a Deutsche Telekom subsidiary in Montenegro , to upgrade its existing Amdocs monetisation engines and migrate them to the cloud .
Under the multi-year agreement , Amdocs will upgrade Crnogorski Telekom ’ s billing , charging , ordering and CRM systems to Amdocs ’ latest cloud-based version , enabling the operator to benefit from enhanced flexibility and scalability , as well as greater costefficiency . The upgrade will empower Crnogorski Telekom to introduce new products to the market quickly , providing an improved customer experience , while maintaining the reliability and security of its core services .

GREECE
RETN , a leading independent global network services provider , has launched its first Point of Presence ( PoP ) in Greece , located at the Balkan Gate Data
Centre in Thessaloniki .
This new strategic PoP is said to be a critical link to RETN ’ s Pan-Eurasian network , bridging the Balkans and the Mediterranean , and establishing a protected wavelength route that connects seamlessly to RETN ’ s DWDM backbone in Sofia , its major hub in the region .
The PoP offers Layer 3 IP Transit / DIA and Layer 2 VPN services , providing customers with reliable , scalable and secure connectivity solutions .
A bid to build Europe ’ s largest cloud and AI data centre has been backed by planners in Hertfordshire , UK .
The £ 3.75 billion DC01UK facility gets a green light just one week after the UK Government launched its AI Opportunities Action Plan outlining the economic growth opportunities presented by the AI revolution , in which new data centres will play a pivotal role .
DC01UK , when built , will be Europe ’ s largest cloud and AI data centre – with up to two million square feet of space .
The location of the data centre brings together the key pillars needed to fulfil the existing cloud shortfall and cater for the large increase in demand expected in future years – this includes a power reservation of 400MVA from UK ’ s National Grid .
