The new offices will accommodate over 500 new positions , ranging from customer support and client relations to financial services and trading support roles . The Sylva Project is taking a significant step towards shaping the future of telecommunications . As 5G continues to expand and 6G technologies emerge , Sylva ’ s long-term vision focuses on developing a cloud-native , scalable , and energy-efficient Telco Cloud infrastructure that will meet the evolving demands of modern telecom services . This infrastructure will support technologies such as Open RAN , Edge Computing and AIdriven networks . A governance board composed of industry leaders , including Deutsche Telekom , Red Hat , Orange , Telefónica , Telecom Italia and Vodafone , is working to define a reference architecture for the Telco Cloud . This architecture aims to overcome the scalability and operational efficiency challenges faced by telecom operators while addressing the growing focus on sustainability .

Valérie Pécresse , President of the Île-de-France Region in France , has announced measures to confirm the region ’ s status as Europe ’ s first Smart Region . The region has decided to experiment with the use of AI in its administration to improve the quality of future public services . It will launch around 10 innovation markets for a total amount of approximately one million euros to improve internal administrative management , information and services to users . Additionally , the region is strengthening its cybersecurity by offering a ‘ cyber diagnostic ’ check and a ‘ cyber equipment ’ check to SMEs with more than 10 employees .
Tele2 and Telenor , through their joint venture Net4Mobility , now cover over 90 % of Sweden ’ s population with 5G . Of this , 70 % have access to 5G +, offering speeds between 200 and 800 Mbit / s . 5G + utilises the 3.6 GHz band , ideal for data-intensive services such as live streaming and video calls . In 2020 , Tele2 became the first operator in Sweden to launch 5G . Since then , Tele2 and Telenor , through Net4Mobility , have replaced all network equipment with the latest technology from Ericsson and Nokia . This upgrade has resulted in an energy-efficient network , enabling faster and more stable connections . At the same time , the 4G network has been enhanced , increasing capacity by up to 200 %– 300 % within the existing infrastructure .
