Aruba S . p . A raises € 500 million in funding for Ponte San Pietro campus data rooms placed on two levels , a fullscale power of 8MW and a total area of almost 14,000m ².

The Aruba Auditorium , a large and ultramodern gathering space for holding events that provides a total area of 1,500m ² and a seating capacity of about 400 , will be capable of hosting multiple , multi-sensory events simultaneously .

Aruba S . p . A , one of Italy ’ s leading providers of data centre , web hosting , email , PEC and domain registration services , has announced a major expansion of its Global Cloud Data Centre ( GCDC ) campus following a € 500 million investment .

The IT3 technology campus in Ponte San Pietro – already one of Italy ’ s largest data centre campuses spanning 200,000m ² – is now also home to two further ‘ future-proof ’ data centres and a large ultra-technological event space , the Aruba Auditorium .
The first of the new data centres has an area of more than 17,000 m ² and 9MW of power , spread over three large data rooms , with independent infrastructure dedicated to each room . The second is a multi-storey data centre with eight
The new latest generation data centres are the result of Aruba ’ s long experience in the development , design , construction and management of high-tech infrastructures and have become a reference point for digitisation in Italy in terms of IT infrastructures and cement GCDC ’ s position as an asset in the broader path of national transformation and innovation . The proprietary data centres store the data of millions of Italian and international citizens and companies and will create important skilled jobs in the area .

Octopus Energy Group ’ s Kraken will control heat pumps and other energy tech to automatically reduce bills for Belgian households

Entech platform , Kraken , has been licensed by energy solutions provider , Noven , to save Belgian households from costly peak energy costs , through a mix of smart home technology and flexibility technology .

Noven will test the Kraken platform to control heat pumps , solar panels , EV chargers and smart meters to automatically reduce consumption and ensure customers avoid the costly peak charges . It is the first time domestic flexibility has been harnessed in this way in the country .
Following a number of successful flexibility trials like this in the UK , which saw over 100,000 consumers willingly reduce usage in return for savings , Kraken and Noven are hoping to expand the project and bring down grid costs and energy bills for everyone in Belgium . Kraken offers its clients end-to-end management of the whole energy supply chain through one simple platform , creating relentless efficiency , flexibility to a scale never seen before and unrivalled scaling potential in a renewable world . Its flexibility division is currently contracted to control over 3,800 MW across 10,000 green energy assets . The platform is targeting management of 25,000 devices and 6,000 MW of energy capacity by 2023 . The platform recently went live in Canada for the first time with a 500kW Tesla battery owned by Hydro REIN .
