Green Mountain expands into UK
development and is located less than 10 miles from the major financial centres of the City of London and Docklands . With the use of secured green power , it is capable of supporting up to 40MW of IT load and already has several strong UK enterprises as core tenants . Completion of the acquisition is subject to certain conditions and is expected to take place before the end of the year .
Norwegian-based Green Mountain , a leader in sustainable colocation data centres , reveals plans to expand into the UK . Green Mountain ’ s owner , Azrieli Group , has announced it has signed an agreement to acquire an existing data centre and available adjacent land , both with further expansion and development potential , in Romford , East London . Through this acquisition , the site will be upgraded and re-branded as Green Mountain and become part of its operations .
Azrieli Group and the seller signed a share purchase agreement for the acquisition of the properties owned by Infinity SDC in Romford . This campus includes an existing data centre with significant expansion potential and available land for further

We can serve clients who have capacity requirements or need to remain in the London area while still achieving their sustainability targets . Proximity announces 10th UK Edge colocation data centre
Proximity Data Centers , one of the UK ’ s fastest growing regional Edge colocation data centre provider , has announced the opening of its 10th UK facility . Proximity Milton Keynes Edge 10 is a purpose-built , tier 3 standard 48,000 square foot facility with multiple data halls and provides 3 MW of available power .
Conveniently located to Milton Keynes , the 3.2 acre site offers low latency connectivity via multiple tier 1 carrier connections including dark fibres with fully diverse links . The latest of the company ’ s growing portfolio of Edge data centres will service Central England , one of the UK ’ s largest regions . This is in line with the company ’ s strategy to provide a nationwide network of highly connected regional Edge data centres which meets the digital needs of 95 % of the population outside London .
