Digital Realty partners with G-Core Labs and Graphcore to accelerate AI deployment on PlatformDIGITAL

By deploying in AMS5 , one of the most highly connected facilities in continental Europe , customers will gain access to several densely populated connected data communities including 800 + enterprises , 700 + network service providers and 600 + cloud and IT providers , via its global platform , PlatformDIGITAL .

Digital Realty – a global provider of cloud- and carrier-neutral data centres , colocation and interconnection solutions – has announced its partnership with G-Core Labs , a European cloud and Edge provider , and Graphcore , a British semiconductor manufacturer , to support the future of Artificial Intelligence ( AI ) deployment at scale with a new AI-ready infrastructure solution .

G-Core Labs will deploy in Digital Realty ’ s AMS5 data centre , a 16 MW facility located in its Schiphol campus in Amsterdam , a site that ’ s continually being invested in as a result of increasing demand . The facility , which can support ultra-high-power density , makes use of ground water cooling , recycles waste heat and runs on 100 % clean energy – like the rest of Digital Realty ’ s European portfolio .

Oracle reinforces commitment to France by opening a second cloud region

Oracle has announced the opening of a second cloud region in France to deliver public cloud services to help businesses modernise their operations .

In addition to the Oracle Cloud Marseille region , the new region in La Courneuve , Paris , will give Oracle ’ s European customers and partners access to a vast cloud services portfolio with built-in security , Disaster Recovery and industry-leading price performance . Oracle ’ s unique dual-region cloud strategy enables French customers to deploy resilient applications in multiple geographical locations in-country .
“ Organisations have reached a critical milestone in how they deploy data for strategic planning and operations ,” said Christophe Negrier , General Manager , Oracle France . “ Oracle is helping customers realise their cloud-first strategy to grow faster , become more sustainable and increase their security posture with Oracle ’ s two cloud regions in France and 38 cloud regions worldwide .”
The new Paris region expands Oracle Cloud ’ s extensive European presence , which already includes more than 10 cloud regions with Marseille , Frankfurt , London , Zürich , Amsterdam , Milan , Stockholm and Newport ( Wales ) already live and the Madrid region is due to come online this year .
All Oracle Cloud Infrastructure ( OCI ) services are available in the Oracle Cloud Paris region to support regulatory compliance requirements , which are especially critical in banking and the public sector . Available services include Oracle Autonomous Database , Oracle Container Engine for Kubernetes and Oracle Cloud VMware Solution .
