NetApp continues to power Ducati into the next MotoGP World Championship

The collaboration between Ducati ( part of the Volkswagen Group ), through its Ducati Corse division and NetApp began in 2018 in a bid to maximise the use of data to improve performance within the world of racing . NetApp and Ducati are expanding their work together to accelerate Digital Transformation by :
• Optimising 3D product design in complex development projects by implementing a new virtual desktop environment , allowing engineers to collaborate efficiently all over the world .
• Automating the racing team ’ s data workflow before , during and after the race . Engineers can support their team ’ s success , both remotely and on-site to maximise the power of information for the win .
• Supporting the overall evolution of the Information Technology strategy through collaboration between Ducati and the Professional Services teams at NetApp .

NetApp , a global cloud-led , data-centric software company , announced the extension of its partnership with the Ducati Corse motorcycle racing team at the completion of the 2021 MotoGP World Championship race in Valencia , Spain . For the next two years , NetApp will continue to help advance Ducati ’ s performance in the MotoGP World Championship .

Oracle opens first cloud region in the Nordics

Oracle has announced the opening of its first cloud region in the Nordics to support the increasing cloud computing demands of private and public sector organisations . The Oracle Cloud Stockholm Region will provide customers and partners access to Oracle Cloud services to drive business growth .

The Stockholm region is strategically located to support the digitisation of the Nordic region , consistently ranked among the most digitally advanced in the world .
Most recently , Denmark , Sweden and Finland topped the European Union ’ s 2021 Digital Economy and Society Index ( DESI ), which tracks the progress made in EU Member States in digital competitiveness in the areas of human capital , broadband connectivity and the integration of digital technologies by businesses and digital public services .
Oracle ’ s next-generation cloud is now available in 35 regions worldwide with plans to have at least 44 cloud regions by the end of 2022 , continuing one of the fastest expansions of any major cloud provider .
The Stockholm region strengthens Oracle ’ s extensive network in the European Union , with Frankfurt , Amsterdam and Marseille already available , a second region in France and one in Italy and Spain planned to open . Oracle Cloud Regions are also already available in the UK and Switzerland .
