The general improvement of the telecom
sector in Poland has increased dramatically
and telecommunication companies are
making great strides towards Digital
Transformation. Nokia and Orange have
launched 5G testing in the city of Lublin,
Poland, as part of the next stage of network
trials in the country.
A total of 10 Nokia 5G base stations operate
in the Ponikwoda, Tatary, Wieniawa and
Ś ródmie ś cie districts.
The trial enables data transfer speeds of
up to 800 Mbit/s and utilises 80 MHz on
the 3.4–3.6 GHz frequency band. Besides
Nokia’s 5G radio access technology and
Nokia FastMile 5G Gateways for Fixed
Wireless Access, Orange will use 5G
smartphones in the trial.
