T
oyota Motor Italy, world leader in the
sector of electrified engines, and LoJack
Italia, a subsidiary of CalAmp and a leader
in stolen vehicle recovery and innovative
automotive services, have announced a
partnership to protect the entire range of
Toyota vehicles sold in Italy.
LoJack Stolen Vehicle Recovery Service
(SVR) will now be offered as an option on
all Toyota models to improve security and
peace of mind for Toyota customers.
LoJack SVR device, installation and
subscription services are included in an
optional Plus Pack package for the new RAV4
Hybrid, new Corolla Hybrid and C-HR Hybrid.
Alternatively, the LoJack service can be
requested as a standalone option through
any Toyota dealership in Italy. LoJack Italia
delivers recovery rates of stolen vehicles
equal to twice the national average enabled
by market-differentiating elements.
Plus Pack is offered at a promotional price
with the contribution of the Car Maker for
customers who sign up for Pay Per Drive
financing at all Toyota dealerships in Italy.
The Plus Pack offer includes the LoJack
Premium service for four years, alloy
wheels with Yokohama winter tires and
the Toyota Touch 3 with Go Plus satellite
navigation system.
The complete package enables Toyota
customers to enjoy safe and secure mobility,
365 days a year.
“Intelligent Security is a value that should
be standard for all vehicles and one step
towards this is offering access to LoJack
in all of our Toyota models in Italy,” said
Mauro Caruccio, Managing Director at
Toyota Motor Italy. “Knowing your vehicle
is protected from auto theft is priceless for
drivers in terms of freedom and security.
We’re excited to provide Toyota customers
with this technology.”

E
nterprises in the Nordic countries are
investing in Digital Transformation
and looking for vendors to help them with
their move to the cloud and adoption of
Artificial Intelligence (AI) for operations,
according to a new report published
by Information Services Group (ISG), a
leading global technology research and
advisory firm.
The 2019 ISG Provider Lens Private/
Hybrid Cloud — Data Center Services
and Solutions Report for the Nordics finds
many Nordic enterprises turning to IT
outsourcing as a way to cut costs, expand
their businesses globally and gain access
to technology experts with niche skills.
“As Nordic enterprises transform their
businesses to raise their profiles in the
global market, Digital Transformation
and cloud and data centre outsourcing
have become their key priorities,” said
Barry Matthews, Partner and Head of
ISG Northern Europe, which includes
the Nordics.
In some cases, however, Nordic
businesses are struggling to see quick
returns on investment when they
move to a cloud computing model, the
report reveals. While cloud computing
can eliminate or minimise hardware
infrastructure, some enterprises need
outside expertise to help them plan and
capitalise their cloud investments.
Many Nordic enterprises are turning
to providers to help them roll out AI
for IT operations (AIOps) to automate
commoditised IT infrastructure and
software maintenance and to reduce
labour-intensive intervention for
mundane tasks.
In addition, container technology
is growing in popularity with Nordic
enterprises, especially for mission-critical
applications in financial, educational and
media and communications organisations.
Another trend in the cloud and data
centre market is a move towards
hyperconverged infrastructure, with
Nordic enterprises embracing the
convergence of software-defined
hardware and software – for
computation, networking and storage
– in an easy-to-use system that enables
Digital Transformation. n
