T-Systems Switzerland and Cohesity have launched a sovereign backup, recovery and cyber resilience offering designed specifically for Swiss companies and public institutions.
The joint service combines Cohesity’ s cyber resilience platform with T-Systems Switzerland’ s cloud and managed services expertise, delivering backup-as-a-service across cloud and on-premise environments.
Operated through Swiss data centres, the offering is designed to support data protection, compliance and regulatory control while allowing organisations to keep critical information within Switzerland.
“ There is a particular added value in the operating model of the solution,” said Iwan Martin, Head of Portfolio Unit Cloud, T-Systems Switzerland.“ Companies can use the services both in existing on-premise environments and as a cloud-native solution.”
The platform can run entirely on T-Systems’ cloud infrastructure, removing the need for customers to procure and operate dedicated backup hardware. T-Systems said the approach provides a scalable model combining data security, flexible deployment and regulatory compliance.
The companies are also targeting growing concerns around cyber attacks and business continuity. The service is designed to help organisations restore critical data quickly and securely following an incident.
Ralf Damerau, Country Manager Alps, Cohesity, said the platform provides“ comprehensive data security and cyber resilience” as the foundation for the service.
AI-powered anomaly detection, threat scanning and automated data classification are designed to identify threats earlier. Following an attack, the platform can determine affected systems, establish when compromise occurred and identify a clean recovery point for disaster recovery, helping organisations strengthen operational resilience while maintaining control over sensitive data and recovery processes.
