NEURA Robotics and SECO join forces to scale Physical AI in Europe the partners want to shorten the route from experimental Physical AI systems to repeatable deployments across demanding industrial environments and international markets worldwide.
NEURA Robotics and SECO have formed a strategic partnership to industrialise and scale Physical AI in Europe, combining cognitive robotics, embedded computing and manufacturing expertise to support large-scale European robot production.
Under the agreement, SECO will work with NEURA on the design, engineering and manufacture of electronic compute modules for NEURA’ s cognitive robots, including its 4NE1 humanoid. The modules will integrate Qualcomm Dragonwing processors and support NEURA’ s distributed computing architecture.
The partnership brings together NEURA’ s Physical AI and robotics technology, Qualcomm Technologies’ edge computing platforms and SECO’ s embedded engineering and industrial manufacturing capabilities.
NEURA’ s approach distributes sensing and computing throughout robots through its Brain + Nervous System architecture and Smart Limbs concept. By placing intelligence closer to joints, sensors and physical interactions, the company aims to enable faster real-time decisions and improve robots’ ability to operate safely alongside people.
Qualcomm Technologies’ Dragonwing Robotics processors provide on-device AI performance, power efficiency and
low-latency control, while SECO will support engineering and industrialisation of the associated compute modules for scalable production.
The collaboration strengthens NEURA’ s European manufacturing ecosystem as it moves towards higher-volume production. SECO will engineer compute modules incorporating Dragonwing processors into NEURA’ s robots, with the hardware developed and manufactured in Europe.
The companies are also planning a NEURA Gym in Italy, which would become NEURA’ s first training hub in Southern Europe. They will jointly collect real-world production data as NEURA robots are deployed in industrial environments.
A particular focus will be semiconductor and electronics manufacturing. NEURA and SECO intend to use production data to develop Physical AI automation technologies capable of learning increasingly complex manufacturing processes. The resulting capabilities could then be deployed across semiconductor production environments globally.
For European industry, the agreement is intended to address both technology development and production scale. By linking robot intelligence with embedded hardware engineering, manufacturing capacity and factory data,
NEURA said this approach supports its wider Neuraverse strategy, under which skills developed through individual industrial applications can become reusable building blocks for intelligent machines rather than remaining isolated within individual automation projects.
The partnership also reflects efforts to strengthen Europe’ s technology base for Physical AI. Europe already has established capabilities across robotics, manufacturing, embedded systems, sensors, automation and research. NEURA and SECO aim to connect those strengths with global computing technologies while retaining engineering, production knowledge and critical capabilities in Europe.
David Reger, Founder and CEO, NEURA Robotics, said Physical AI required collaboration across sensing, compute, cloud and industrialisation.
“ Together we will use real industrial processes to generate data and develop Physical AI solutions for semiconductor manufacturing that can ultimately be deployed anywhere in the world,” he said.
Max Mauri, CEO, SECO, said combining the companies’ engineering and Physical AI expertise could create technologies relevant beyond individual factories or applications.
Qualcomm Technologies said scalable intelligent computing platforms would be essential as Physical AI moves from innovation towards widespread real-world industrial deployment. • www. intelligentcio. com
