DE-CIX acquires majority stake in BIX. BG to expand Balkan interconnection ecosystem

Bulgarian Internet exchange operator BIX. BG has deepened its partnership with DE-CIX, with the global interconnection provider acquiring a majority stake in the Sofia-based exchange.

Existing BIX. BG customers will continue to access the same services under current terms and service levels while gaining access to new capabilities introduced through the collaboration.
DE-CIX plans to expand the Sofia ecosystem by attracting additional international networks from its global community, increasing reach, resilience and interconnection opportunities. The agreement also strengthens BIX. BG management and positions the company as a subsidiary within DE-CIX Group AG.
The move extends DE-CIX’ s footprint across the Balkans, complementing its exchanges in Istanbul and Athens. It represents the next phase of a long-standing relationship focused on joint development of products and services. As part of this effort, DE-CIX will introduce enterprise connectivity offerings in Sofia, including cloud connectivity and cloud routing solutions designed to support digital transformation and hybrid infrastructure strategies.
Ivo Ivanov, CEO, DE-CIX, said the investment reflects confidence in BIX. BG and the Bulgarian market, highlighting the strong partnership between the two organisations.
Dimo Nikolov, CEO, BIX. BG, said joining the DE-CIX ecosystem will broaden opportunities for connected networks and help meet growing demand for advanced connectivity services in Bulgaria.
Both companies emphasise continuity for customers while accelerating innovation, scale and international integration.
The partnership is expected to enhance regional digital infrastructure, improve latency and support data-intensive applications, positioning Sofia as a stronger interconnection hub for Southeast Europe and neighbouring markets. This marks a milestone for both organisations.

TeamSystem expands in France and Türkiye with ACD and DIA Yazılım acquisitions

TeamSystem has strengthened its European expansion with the acquisition of ACD, a leading French provider of accounting and management software, while also acquiring DIA Yazılım in Türkiye to expand its cloud ERP capabilities.

These strategic moves reinforce the Group’ s position as a key player in the digitalisation of SMEs and professionals across Europe and the Mediterranean region.
Founded in 2004, ACD serves around 3,200 accounting firms and indirectly supports more than 1.3 million businesses.
With offices in Tours and Aix-en-Provence, the company generated approximately € 35 million in revenue in 2024 and employs over 280 people. The acquisition strengthens TeamSystem’ s presence in France, a market undergoing significant change driven by the rollout of mandatory electronic invoicing, mirroring developments previously seen in Italy.
By leveraging its experience, TeamSystem aims to support French professionals through this transition.
The addition of DIA Yazılım further expands TeamSystem’ s footprint in Türkiye, where the company provides modular cloud ERP solutions to tens of thousands of users. The move reflects a long-term strategy focused on investing in highpotential markets, leveraging local expertise and delivering scalable solutions tailored to SME needs.
