Airbus Defence and Space and Greenerwave Expand Strategic SATCOM Partnership with Two New Defence Contracts

Airbus Defence and Space and Greenerwave are strengthening their strategic partnership in satellite communications through two new contracts worth several million euros. The announcement follows a first agreement unveiled at the Paris Air Show in June 2025 in the presence of the French Minister for the Armed Forces.

These additional contracts deepen cooperation between the two companies and demonstrate shared confidence in delivering advanced satellite communication capabilities for end users, notably the French Armed Forces. The agreements mark a new milestone in a partnership focused on innovation, operational performance and technological sovereignty.
Through this expanded collaboration, Airbus Defence and Space will further enhance its end-to-end SATCOM solutions by integrating Greenerwave’ s flat panel antennas. Recognized for multi orbit capability and very low power consumption, these antennas enable flexible, easily deployable and resource efficient connectivity in demanding operational environments.
Geoffroy Lerosey, President and co-founder of Greenerwave, said the strengthened partnership confirms the relevance of the company’ s energy efficient and high performance solutions in environments where flexibility and reliability are strategic requirements. He added that the contracts highlight Greenerwave’ s contribution to French and European technological sovereignty.
Eric Even, SVP and Head of Space Digital at Airbus Defence and Space, emphasized that combining decades of secure satellite communications expertise with innovative multiband antenna technology will deliver a new generation of defence terminals, ensuring resilient and secure access to critical data across air, land and sea operations.

Netherlands leads Europe in mobile network quality, with

Denmark and Norway close behind, according to a new MedUX report.
Northern European countries continue to set the benchmark as 5G quality matures across the continent.
MedUX has released its 2026 benchmark report on mobile network performance across Europe. Based on crowdsourced data from Q4 2025, the study ranks the Netherlands first for overall Quality of Experience( QoE) with a score of 4.51 out of 5. Denmark and Norway follow, with Switzerland completing the top tier.
The research covers more than 33 countries and 656 million people. It draws on over 180 million performance tests and 39 billion radio samples collected from real users, providing an independent view of network performance as 5G adoption accelerates.
The Netherlands stands out for reliability and consistency, winning Best Overall Experience, Best Reliability, Best Data and OTT Experience and Best Value for Speed. It achieved 91.1 % reliability and 91.3 % for data and OTT performance.
Denmark ranks second with a QoE score of 4.43, excelling in data and social media performance. Norway ranks third with 4.39 and wins the Streaming Award for best video experience. Switzerland, scoring 4.34, co-leads in Network Responsiveness and Gaming.
Across Europe, 5G usage reaches around 87 % in leading markets such as the Netherlands and Denmark. While adoption varies regionally, 5G now carries most mobile traffic across much of the continent. •
