M
eaWallet has signed an agreement
with a major bank in the Nordic region
for delivery of MeaWallet’s technology for
converged wallet, i.e. mobile contactless
payments to Nordic countries. The solutions
of Mea Token Platform configured for
MDES as well as Mea Masterpass will be
delivered as a managed service, integrating
MeaWallet’s platform with the bank’s mobile
banking application. Mea Token Platform will
enable the bank’s clients to perform digital
contactless card payments through the
bank’s existing mobile banking application,
while Mea Masterpass will enable secure
and user-friendly online and web-to-app
payments at any merchant that accepts
Masterpass checkout.
“We are happy to see continuous growth in
this exciting market and especially happy
to be able to work with such a progressive
bank. While we will now be running seven
simultaneous MDES projects, MeaWallet sees
this as an exciting opportunity to prove that
we can deliver the promised high-quality in
agreed time,” said Lars Sandtorv, Head of
MeaWallet. “This will be the most northern
project we’ve delivered and we can now say
that we are delivering our products to all
corners of Europe.”
CEO of Invuo Technologies, John Longhurst,
commented: “The market for MeaWallet is
accelerating. Our stated goal is for MeaWallet
to sign a minimum of 20 orders over the
course of 2018. In doing so, we aim to
meet the financials goals laid out for Invuo
Technologies this year, as disclosed in recent
public statements. As further orders are
signed, we hope investors begin to share the
confidence we have for the period ahead.”

T
elenor and Cisco have announced
they have signed a Joint Purpose
Agreement (JPA) to collaborate on
enhancing customer experiences with
data analysis, IoT, smart city and
security solutions.
The joint effort aims to accelerate Telenor
Group’s continued transformation and
digitisation drive and supports the joint
pivotal role that both companies play in
enabling superior experiences for Telenor
customers. “Digitisation of societies
requires new ways of working and new
partnerships. We’re excited about taking
our collaboration with Cisco to the next
level, setting up a joint lab environment
to explore smart city solutions with one of
Norway’s largest municipalities, exploring
different approaches to connect our
customers to what matters most in all
stages of their daily lives,” said Ruza
Sabanovic, Chief Technology Officer,
Telenor Group.
Telenor Group’s leadership with smart city
in Norway will leverage the company’s
existing city Wi-Fi, WAN and mobile
connectivity to explore a next-generation
model that protects, connects and
empowers societies. Telenor Group will
utilise Cisco’s data platform, Cisco Kinetic,
to extract, compute and move data from
connected things to various applications,
exploring potential business benefits.
“Cisco and Telenor Group are building
a highly secure, IP-centric network
foundation that will grow with them
as they expand their business to
explore new IoT services and smart city
applications,” said Peter Karlstromer,
Senior Vice President, Global Service
Provider, Cisco. “By applying data
analysis across selected app platforms
with Cisco’s AppDynamics, Telenor Group
will have an opportunity to explore real-
time view of app performance to deliver
better customer experiences.”
